I am an experienced Anti-Financial Crime specialist with a strong track record in regulatory compliance, data-led risk management, and delivering complex global programmes.

As principal investigator leading a team of 120 investigators, I worked with international regulators and law enforcement on one of the World’s largest forensic investigations into an Investment Bank suspected of being complicit in tax evasion. My investigation culminated in a fine for the bank of US$2.6 billion.

I have advised major banks and financial institutions on AML, sanctions, and governance strategies, helping them secure critical licenses, implement effective anti-money laundering processes, and meet evolving regulatory demands. With a background that spans consulting, financial services, and technology, I combine strategic insight with hands-on expertise to build effective, resilient compliance frameworks.

“I’ve seen firsthand how complex and ever-changing the financial crime landscape is, with firms struggling to meet evolving regulatory demands. My work at leading investment banks – from implementing robust AML systems and securing critical licenses to leading a forensic investigation that resulted in a US$2.6 billion fine – has shown me that weak compliance cultures, inconsistent practices, and fragmented systems lie at the heart of many challenges. I believe that strong, integrated oversight is essential to safeguarding our financial system.

Argus Pro is a start-up in the professional services sector in the UK.

The company has developed a comprehensive framework that provides compliance professionals with an objective assessment of the effectiveness of their firms’ anti-financial crime (AFC) programmes.

The framework assesses all seven domains of AFC, AFC-related data practices, and compliance culture. It spotlights potential vulnerabilities in firms’ AFC programmes before they can be exploited by criminals or called out by the regulator.

A former co-chair of the Wolfsberg Group, a consortium of 12 global banks and considered a respected authority on effective AFC risk management, has stated that Argus Pro’s framework would be a powerful asset to any Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), Senior Compliance Chiefs, or Independent Monitors appointed to oversee remediation work given its comprehensive nature, the way it is implemented, and because it goes far beyond traditional compliance assessments or so-called financial crime health checks, even surpassing guidance from the Wolfsberg Group itself and the respected Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG).

Argus Pro is based in London, UK, and works with clients across the financial and professional services sectors, as well as insurance, real estate, gaming, and gambling.
