Cyber After Dark: Tackling Continuous Threat Exposure

This event was brought to you in partnership with OccamSec. We were joined by global leaders in cyber security as we take a look at the Outlook for Cyber Security in 2024 and then considered approaches to dealing with emerging threats and continuous exposure.

The night kicked off with a fascinating talk from Robert Hayes, considering the evolution of communication and data breaches through the ages, right up to a present day outlook on the security landscape considering the impact of current world events on security, motivations and focus of the main players in cyber, through to insights on emerging and future threats such as AI. Importantly, the talk finished up with some real practical considerations about what this all meant for people in the room and their organisations.

We then moved on to our Fireside Chat with Mark Stamford, Erin Murtha and Ivano Bianco from OccamSec, sharing their views and experiences in mitigating risk and tackling continuous threat through offensive cyber security. It was fascinating to hear them share insights having worked with global brands such as Disney and Marvel, and in Homeland Security, as well as their thoughts on how security testing has and must continue to evolve to ensure organisations can stay ahead of the curve when it comes to an ‘always on’ cyber threat.
