Welcome to the RegTech Leadership Forum

A dedicated forum for senior leaders in regulation, risk and compliance.

Members meet regularly to discuss and address the complex challenges of regulatory compliance and innovation.

Develop in partnership with leading law firm Vialex, other early supporters include Vialex, Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, Zumo, University of Strathclyde, Barclays, Haelo, Castlepoint Systems, & Finbridge Global.

Overview

The Forum programme is focused on the regulatory challenges facing financial services insitutions, FinTech and a range of other sectors.

Participants will explore how RegTech solutions can help organisations address the complexities of managing data to meet regulatory compliance for reporting, risk assessment, and performance measurement.

We will consider a wide range of regulatory concerns, from supply chain security and product performance to broader themes like Consumer Duty, ESG, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks.

Core objectives include developing best practice solutions to challenges surfaced by the Forum, breaking down barrier to collaboration, and a focus on how compliance can be leveraged as a competitive advantage and enabler of economic growth.

Forum Mission

Deliver regular Forum roundtables to discuss shared challenges and practical solutions related to regulation and compliance.
Support ongoing engagement by encouraging collaboration. Raising the profile and importance of the Ecosystem’s work through reporting and amplification of Forum activity and thought leadership.
Where relevant support the development of spin off working groups or workshops focused on developing solutions to the challenges raised by the group.
Publish forum insights and recommendations.
Develop joint initiatives to tackle regulatory challenges in financial services.

Forum Charter

The forum will use the following standing ground rules to establish a productive protocol for meetings:
No sales pitches.
Listen and openly discuss issues with others who hold diverse views.
View disagreements as problems to be solved rather than battles to be won.
Refrain from ascribing motives or intentions to other participants.
Respect the integrity and values of other participants.
Honour time during meetings.

Inaugural Roundtable - March 2025

Regulatory Monitoring & Scanning

During this first session, we will consider the current and emerging regulatory landscape, with consideration of challenges relating to the volume and complexity of regulation, frequency of change, integration of frameworks, policy and organisational adaptation.

The session will include an enhanced focus on regulatory monitoring and will consider Horizon Scanning as a potential tool for tackling the complexities of the emerging regulatory landscape.

Forum Membership

Membership is available by invitation or upon approval of a request by the forum’s founding members.

We welcome applications from individuals in leadership roles or teams working in regulatory technology, compliance, and resilience roles across financial services and FinTech.

Applications are also welcome from individuals or organisations that are part of the wider financial services regulatory ecosystem, including governance, risk, regulation, and compliance.
